How does the scoring work during a quiz?

During a quiz, you get 10 multiple-choice questions (5 in the News Quiz). You have 10 seconds to answer each question. The number of points you get for every correct answer depends on the level of difficulty of the question:

• easy question1000 points per correct answer
• average question1500 points per correct answer
• hard question 2000 points per correct answer

Apart from that, you will also be given points for answering a question quickly (only if you answer the question correctly). This score is worked out using the following formula: 1000 x (Time remaining/Total time). For instance, if you have 5 seconds left and you give the correct answer, then you will receive 500 bonus points (1000 x (5/10)).
