QUIZWINNERS GAME RULES
General Rules
You will be given 10 multiple-choice questions. For every question you have 10 seconds to answer. For each correct answer, you are given points. The quicker you give the correct answer, the more points you earn.
The questions are classified into 3 levels of difficulty: "easy," "medium" and "hard." When you answer an easy question correctly, you earn 1000 points. For every correctly answered medium question, you earn 1500 points, and every correct answer to a hard question earns you 2000 points.
Aside from that, you will also be given points for answering a question quickly (only if you answer the question correctly). The score is calculated using the following formula: 1000 x (Time remaining/Total time). For instance, if you have 5 seconds left and you did give the correct answer, then you will receive 500 bonus points (1000 x (5/10)).
After answering 10 questions you will know your score. When playing a Multiplayer Game, you know immediately whether you are the winner. If you are playing a Basic Tournament or a Progressive Jackpot Tournament, you will need to wait for the Tournament to end before finding out whether you have won.
Stake money
How much money you stake is entirely up to you. As soon as you have selected and clicked on a game, like the Pro and College Football Quiz for example, you can specify how much you wish to stake. Next, you will see an overview of all the other players that also wish to play for that same amount. If you invite people to an Invitation Tournament, you are the one who decides how high the stakes are for the people that you invite.
For every game, the minimum stake is 50 cents. The maximum stakes for Multiplayer Games, Basic Tournaments and Progressive Jackpot Tournaments are $1 per person. For Invitation Tournaments the initiator of the tournament can decide the stakes up to a maximum of $10.
Fair play
Because Practice Players only have virtual Practice Money and do not play for real money, they can't play against Star Players who do stake real money. In order to make sure that everyone gets a fair chance, QuizWinners.com uses a ranking system. The more questions you answer correctly, the more you win and the higher your ranking becomes. Only those players who are on the same ranking level can compete with you.
Every player builds up a separate ranking for every individual game. There are 5 different ranking levels: Beginner (during the first 5 games), Novice (up to 1300 points), Advanced (1301-2000 points), Master (2001-2200 points) and Pro (over 2200 points). During the first 5 games within a certain game, you have no ranking at all but are automatically classified as a Beginner. After that, your ranking is determined, dependent upon your success.
Note: All games on QuizWinners.com are meant to be single-player games, i.e. all accounts belong to one specific person. Two players working together obviously will have an advantage over other single players, which may result in an unfair course of the game and put other players who are playing the game fairly at a disadvantage. For that reason, games should never be played by several people sharing the same computer and the same account. Anyone caught cheating will be excluded from taking part in any future games on QuizWinners.
