How are the prizes distributed during a Basic Tournament?
25 percent always goes automatically to QuizWinners.com to cover administrative and site upkeep costs. The remaining 75 percent goes to the winner (or winners).*
The distribution of prizes during a Basic Tournament depends on the number of contestants. In cases of one to three players, there is only one winner. In cases of four players, there are 2 winners. In four-player games, the first-place player wins 65 percent of the available prize money, and the second-place player gets the remaining 35 percent.
*Note: It is possible for no one in a game or tournament to get any questions correct, and for all players to end up with zero (0) points. Such instances are rare, but when they do occur, all stake money automatically goes to QuizWinners.com.
